  • 2 cups (packed) fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste
  • 3 large cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • ¾ teaspoons nutritional yeast, optional to add a "cheesy" savory flavor
  1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender, pushing down the sides as needed. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
