Look a little different around here? You know that feeling when you just got a haircut and you’re feeling pretty good about yourself and you get that little nervous feeling when your friend first sees you? Oh, you noticed!? Thank you! you say, sheepishly. Well that’s how I feel right now. After years of thinking about it, and many many hours, days, weeks and months, I’ve finally finished revamping my website!
I used to think that widgets were most likely something like a little robotic creature. Now, I wouldn’t necessarily call myself the queen of all website technology speak, but I did pick up a few things along the way! For someone highly distractible like myself, the lesson I learned time and time again was, thinking about something isn’t actually the same as doing something. Throughout the tedium, at some point I realized that I was putting an awful lot of thought energy into wishing my new site into existence and not enough actually energy doing the things that made it happen. I’m sure this is a lesson in life I’ll continue to learn! Anyhow, here we are!
One of the best parts about my new Spoon With Me digs is that it’s waaay easier to browse recipes. There were treasures buried deep in my archives that I even forgot about! I thought I’d dig into the archives and show you some of my favorite things to spoon in June!
Hibiscus-Mint Simplici-tea Sparklers
I don’t know about you, but I see many afternoon mocktails in my future…
Mango-Avocado Salsa
One of my most frequently requested appetizers amongst friends and family!
Fragrant Dried Herb Salts
My perennial herbs are bursting right now, and this is my favorite way to preserve them to enjoy all year, and make great gifts! My friends and family love them so much that they keep asking for more!
And speaking of herbs…
Lemon-Herb Cashew Sour Cream Dip
This dip is vegan and non-vegan approved! It’s amazing how the humble cashew can mimic sour cream so well. It’s also chock-full of those garden herbs popping up right now!
Lemon Berry Custard Pies (GF +Vegan, No Added Sugar)
I just adore putting pies in little mason jars! How about a light and colorful summer dessert, topped with all those magical in-season berries!
Happy summer, Spoonies, and happy cooking fun!
